Scammers seldom miss an opportunity to steal, and the economic crisis brought on by the coronavirus (COVID-19) presents a prime target. As the government prepares to make economic impact payments to millions of Americans, the IRS is urging the public to be on the lookout for calls, emails, texts, websites and social media posts designed to steal personal information.
