Nonprofits: Stop being such an easy fraud target





Because their cultures are oriented toward helping others, nonprofits often find it hard to imagine their workers would ???? steal. As a result, too many charities neglect to put proper internal controls in place and, if they’re defrauded, refuse to seek prosecution of the perpetrator. To head off major losses, your nonprofit should execute some basic controls. For example, perform background ✅ checks on all paid staffers and on volunteers who handle????money. And if volunteers sell event tickets, make sure they turn in a corresponding amount of cash and unsold tickets.
