What’s the status of tax reform efforts in Congress? Both the U.S. House of Representatives and the Senate have now released their proposed tax plans. While there are some similarities, there are also some major differences. The full House will be voting on its bill soon, while the Senate will begin revising its plan this week and hopes to vote before Thanksgiving. The House and the Senate must then reconcile their plans into a single compromise bill, which must be passed by both chambers before it can be sent to the President for his signature. Stay tuned.
