The IRS has issued guidance for employers in the form of FAQs on the deferral of deposit and payment of employment taxes under the Coronavirus, Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act. Specifically, the law allows employers to defer the deposit and payment of their share of Social Security taxes through Dec. 31, 2020.
